Bianconi, Elvin Emil 'Al' 76 4/19/1933 3/15/2010 Al passed away March 15, 2010, after an aggressive 10-year battle with cancer. Al is survived by his companion of 11 years, Joyce "JJ" Seidel of Nebraska; son, Mark Bianconi of Milwaukie; daughter, Dawn Lorentz of Mulino; grandson, Shayne Newton of San Diego, a cryptologist with the U.S. Navy; grandson, Casey Newton, who is in his last year of college for crimi- nology; sister, Elsie Hubbard of Redding, Calif.; niece, Sherry Hubbard of Redding; and nephew, Kevin Hubbard of Santa Clara, Calif. Al will best be remembered as an extremely disciplined and hard-working man. He instilled the value and pride of hard work in his family. Al started work in the timber industry and ended his career in law enforcement. Al was born and raised in Weed, Calif., to Italian immigrants, Roberto and Eliza (Grazzi) Bianconi. He was employed by the Shasta County Sheriff's Department, where he met and married a local girl, Marjie Ann Pastorino. They moved to Klamath Falls where he was hired on with the Klamath Falls Police Department. He retired from law enforcement with the state of Oregon. Al was a proud Korean War veteran. He was a wonderful grandpa and he loved his family, hunting, fishing and travel. We will miss him very much. Please send remembrances to Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
