Bibica, John M. Born in Southern CA July 11, 1926, died at home in Sacramento March 31, 2010 after a prolonged illness. Preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Mary Etta; sister, Katherine Ursich and son, William. Survived by his sister, Anna Anderson; sons, Patrick (Shirley), James and Robert (Marta); daughter, Susan; grandchildren, Danielle Keelan (Jeremy), Kelly, Jamie, Bryce, Patrick, Natalie and great grandchildren, Jordon, Joshua and Dylan. John served over 30 years at the Sacramento Police Dept. retiring as Inspector of Field Operations. During his illustrious career, he was involved in many high profile cases and often served as spokesperson for the dept. He was a graduate of the F.B.I. academy as well as many other highly specialized Law Enforcement programs. He was very involved in the East Sacramento Babe Ruth League while his sons played in the league, twice serving as President. He also served as Secretary for the Toastmasters and Lions Club. John was a lifelong 49er fan and a season ticket holder. John spent his life dedicated to his family and will be dearly missed. Friends are welcome for visitation Tuesday, April 6th from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. and are invited to attend a Rosary Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. at NICOLETTI, CULJIS & HERBERGER Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd., 451-7284. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 39th & J streets. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery.
