Arend, Daniel N. Daniel N. Arend 47, lifelong resident of Tucson, passed away on April 13, 2010. Dan was born in Tucson, son of Jeannie Arend Fillman and the late Norman M. Arend. He graduated from Amphi High School with the Class of 1981. After graduation he joined the US Navy and traveled the world over. Dan was an avid fisherman, loved animals and will be remembered for caring for needy animals. He was most fond of his cat, Heaven who was his constant companion. He will be remembered by family as a loving, nurturing person who was always concerned about their welfare. Besides his mother, he is survived by his children, Dean (Julie) Moulis of Sahaurita and Candy Moulis of Tucson; his sister, Becky (John) Hicks of San Diego, CA. Dan was proud of his recent grandson, Crayton Zander Moulis. Dan leaves several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Harold Arend and stepfather, Raymond Fillman. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:30 - 8 p.m., Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Swan Lake Estate Clubhouse, 4550 N. Flowing Wells Road. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Dan's name to the Humane Society, 3450 N. Kelvin Rd., Tucson, AZ 85716.
