ANDERSEN Dorothy (Macdonald) 1926-2009 Dorothy was born in Spokane Dorothy Ann Biallas, May 21, 1926 daughter of Frank J. Biallas and Ann Biallas. She attended North Central High School 1941-1944 where she was active in musical activities, Operetta, Three Fives, and Doll Shop and participated in Track and Tennis. In 1948 Dorothy married William H. Macdonald and over the next 25 years raised three children William J. Macdonald (deceased), David M. Macdonald, Foster City, CA and Laurel (Macdonald) Bonnell, Beaverton, OR. During her years in Spokane she enjoyed activities with her family at their summer home on Coeur d' Alene Lake ID, ski trips and other travel. She was active in the Methodist Church Choir, Manito Country Club and the University Club. In 1971 Dorothy moved to the Seattle area (Ballard, WA) where she later married John G. Andersen, and resided for almost 15 years before returning to Spokane to be closer to her parents and brothers, Frank Biallas Jr, Thomas Biallas, and James Biallas. She is predeceased by her parents, her brother, Frank Biallas Jr., and son, William J. Macdonald. Dorothy spent her later years at Regency at North Pointe and died of natural causes on March 20, 2009. Published on 3/22/2009 Spokesman-Review
