Pear, Harold 'Hank' Philip 

86 08/21/1922 04/15/2009 Hank's suffering ended and he was taken to his eternal 
reward April 15, 2009. A lifelong resident of Portland, Hank attended University of 
Portland and then, after serving in the Navy, graduated from University of Notre Dame. 
While working for National Cash Register Co., he met and married Anne Marie 
O'Malley. After a brave battle with lupus, Mom passed away 13 years ago. Dad then 
sold the family home on the hill and moved to Calaroga Terrace. The family wishes to 
thank the excellent staff and residents of Calaroga for their care and friendship. Dad 
enjoyed a very happy and rich spiritual life with the Dominican priory at Holy Rosary 
parish. We would also like to thank the pastor, staff and parishioners, especially Mrs. 
Vivian Brink and Mr. Bob Nyssen, for their constant care, support and prayers. 
Recitation of the rosary will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2009, followed by a 
funeral Mass at noon, in Holy Rosary Catholic Church. We'll miss you Dad - "sister" 
Beth and "sister" Bobbie Anne.
