ADAMS, Robert Was born on Feb.1, 1968 in Page, AZ to Daniel and Margret (Green) Adams. He passed away on Sunday June 21, 2009 in Cheney, WA at the age of 41. Robert grew up in Texas and Washington. He was active in Boy Scouts, church, and high school band and jazz band. He joined the United States Navy in 1987 after graduation from Lake Roosevelt High School in Coulee Dam, WA. Robert spent 21 years in the Navy as an avionics technician aboard aircraft carriers. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 2008 and most recently served aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. He married Kelley Donahue on Jan. 17, 1991. They enjoyed traveling and camping with their dogs Rosie, Riley, Gracie, and Elliott. His heart and his smile touched more lives than we'll ever know and his positive outlook was contageous. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elizabeth Green and his grandfather, Wilbur Adams. Survivors include: his wife, Kelley of West Seattle; mother, Margret (Green) Stanley of Lubbock, TX; father, Daniel and stepmother, Janet Adams of Cheney; brother, Jim Adams of Gunnison, CO; sister, Rebecca Adams Smith of Spokane; grandfather, Ray Green of Clinton, AR; and grandmother, Margaret Adams of Twin Falls, ID. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 25 at 10:00 a.m. at the Westside Chapel on the north entrance into Cheney. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Cheney. CHENEY FUNERAL CHAPEL, Cheney WA.
