Carmela "Connie" Ann Peacher Passed away peacefully, after a long battle with lung cancer and was escorted to heaven through her faith in Jesus Christ on July 15, 2009. Connie was born in Italy October 9, 1922 and then immigrated with her mother and father to the United States at the age of seven. Connie and her parents moved from New York to Connecticut where she graduated from High School. She then married Joseph Battisti and moved to California. In 1974 she married Lawrence Peacher and both moved to Washington State where she passed away. Connie survived her daughter Barbra, sisters Gloria and Linda. She is survived by her husband Lawrence, son Pete Battisti, daughter in-law Karen Battisti, grandchildren, Kathrin, Anthony, and Tanner, her brothers, Tony, and Johnny. The family would like to thank the staff at Group Health, Group Health Hospice, and Merrill Gardens Assisted Living for their kindness and compassionate care. Thank you also to Puyallup Tacoma Boys for always treating Connie like a queen with little gifts of flowers and fruits when she shopped. Services will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 10:00 am at Powers Funeral Home in Sumner, WA. Viewing will be held one hour prior to service.
