Peter AGNESANI Peter Dominic Agnesani was born in Renton on September 5, 1914, and he died at home surrounded by family and friends on August 30, 2009. His parents, John B and Marianna Agnesani, were Italian immigrants who settled in the Renton area at the turn of the century. Peter was the youngest of five siblings (John, Tillie, Nel, and Anne), all of whom preceded him in death. His only son, Rod Hitchcock, died in a tragic accident at the age of 27. His first wife, Maxine (Herman) died in 1979 and his second wife, Peggy (Day) died in 2003. He is survived by his step-daughter Margy Hesse, grandsons Gavin and Colin Hesse, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends, Joe, Lisa, Frankie, Robin, and many more. According to Peter, he was born in his family's spaghetti factory. Peter worked for Williams and Swanson for years as one of their top car salesman, winning many awards and trips. He soon became known as "Chevy Pete." After he retired he worked for Alaska Sales and Service as an expeditor. From there he also worked at a men's clothing outlet stores as a salesman. For 65 years Peter lived on North Pelly Street and was known by all the neighbors. He was a member of the Renton Lions Club for years and was a manager for the basketball team in the 30's. He had a special gift for celebrating life to the fullest. He was loved and will be remembered and missed by many. Published in The Seattle Times on September 20, 2009
