Acevedo, Lisandro "Chano" 

91 of Avondale, AZ died on September 7, 2009 in Phoenix, AZ. He 
was born August 13, 1918 in Tucson, AZ to Joaquin and Antonia 
Acevedo. Lisandro served in the U.S. Army during WWII, was the 
Avondale city manager for several years and was a well-known 
local musician. Lisandro is survived by his daughters Barbara 
Garcia, Bertha Acevedo, son Ramon Acevedo, brother Eddie Acevedo, 
8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great 
grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Cruz Acevedo. 
A visitation and rosary will be held Sunday September 13, 2009 
6-8 p.m. at Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel 926 S. 
Litchfield Road Goodyear, AZ and a graveside funeral service will 
be Monday September 14, 2009 11:00 a.m. at National Memorial 
Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. Final arrangements were entrusted 
to Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel.
