Rohde, Romelia "Romey" Was born in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala to Romulo and Elisa Pacheco on August 30, 1915. She met Edgar Rohde in California. They were married on March 16, 1947. They had three children. In 1979, they retired and moved to Spokane. They lived in the Valley until Ed's death in 1989. Romey just recently moved to Sullivan Park Care Center. Romey passed away suddenly on September 3, 2009. She is survived by her children Carmen (Henry) Hernandez of Guatemala, Edgar R. Rohde and Linda (John) Graham of Spokane; grandchildren Jenny (Rafael) Tinoco, Henry (Regina) Hernandez, Ana Elisa (Rafa) Obiols, Jason (Tanya) Graham, Kasey (Ian) Graham/Liberto, Travis, Meghann, and great-grandchildren Rafael, Cristina, Camila, Katia, Cristian and Adrian. She is also survived by several dear nieces and nephews and cousins in California and Guatemala. Her family and friends will miss her. Memorial donations may be made to the Sew-Sew Sisters (her old quilting group) of Redeemer Lutheran Church and will be greatly appreciated by this world mission.
