Koke, LaVerne Rosa

75 of Phoenix, AZ, went home to be with the Lord on September 25, 2009. She was 
born on June 9, 1934 in Nebraska City, NE to William and Hilda Paben. LaVerne 
was the eldest of four children. She was preceded in death by her loving 
husband, Charles D. Koke, Jr., her little sister, Karen, and her parents. When 
LaVerne was 16 years old, she married the love of her life, Charles D. Koke. 
Her family is deeply comforted by the fact that Chuck and her family were there 
to greet her upon her arrival in Heaven. She is survived by her children; David 
(Sandy) Koke, Steven Koke, Daniel Koke, Sr., Annette Riveras, and Sharon Koke, 
her brother, Leroy Paben of St. Peter, MN, sister, Rosemary Schmitz of 
Plattsmouth, NE, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will 
be 6:00-8:00 PM, with a 6:30 PM Rosary, Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at San 
Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 3851 West Wier Ave., Phoenix, AZ. Funeral 
Mass will begin at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 1, 2009, at San Martin de Porres 
Catholic Church. Burial to follow at West Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, 
AZ. Arrangements entrusted to Lowmans Arizona Funeral Home, Inc.
