Ammerman, Paul H. The angels descended from the heavens on May 19, 2010 to lead Paul H. Ammerman home. Paul was born on December 28, 1954 at Lukes Air Force in Glendale Arizona to harry Lloyd Ammerman and Joann Hawley. Paul lived a full life in his short 55 years. He enlisted in the U.S.Navy shortly after high school and served honorably for two years. He entered on duty with the U.S. Border Patrol on April 11, 1985 with the 155th session of the Border Patrol Academy in Glynco, Georgia. Paul spent his first duty station in El Centro, California. After 3 years he was promoted to Supervisory Border Patrol Agent. He later transferred to Deming, New Mexico, and finally to Blythe California station where he retired in 2005. After retiring, Paul and his wife Linda returned to Yuma where he enjoyed a leisurely life fishing, off-roading and gold prospecting. He was passionate about his favorite baseball team, the Arizona Diamondbacks. He was also an avid Nascar fan. The thing he cherished most in life was spending time with his family. Paul married his wife Linda M. Wuertemburg May 5, 1978. They dated for only days before he proposed . Two months later they were married. They both agrees it was love first sight. Friends and family jokingly placed bets saying it wouldn't work. They proved them all wrong, enjoyed 32 loving years together. Paul is survived by his wife Linda Ammerman of Yuma; son, Roy Jacob Ammerman of Rio Rico, Arizona, Joseph Lloyd Ammerman of Fallon Nevada, mother, Joann H. Ammerman of Sun City Arizona, aunt and uncle Janet and Reginald Gilbert of Scottsdale, Arizona and his favorite little buddy Dewey. Paul was preceded in death by his father Harry Loyd Ammerman, grandfather J.E Hawley, grandmother Pauline Osborne and grandparents Wahl and Katherine S. Ammerman. The viewing will be at Yuma Mortuary on Tuesday May 25, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for family and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for the public. Funeral services will be held at Yuma Mortuary Wednesday May 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Burial ceremonies will be conducted at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Border Patrol Honor Guards.
