Pacheco, Alfred M. Our devoted husband, loving father and grandfather peacefully went to be with our Lord on Monday, February 1, 2010 with his family by his side, at his home in Arlington, Washington. Alfred was born on October 28, 1928 to Jose and Teofila Pacheco in Chicago, Illinois. He left Chicago to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps and was in active duty during WWII between 1945-1948. In 1972, he moved to the Seattle area with his beautiful bride, Margaret Sally, and pursued masonry work that included the floor of the Seattle Space Needle and the Capitol building in Olympia, WA. Alfred was a long time member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marysville. His spunky attitude, witty humor and love for sharing time with loved ones will be missed by his beloved wife, Sally; his children, Lynn Pacheco of Edmonds, Carol Schenk of Seattle, Sue (Harvey) Meyer of Arlington, Frank Buckner of Arlington; four grandchildren, Steven Jarvis of Montana, Stephanie (Lenny) Dietlin of Stanwood, Nicole Buckner of Everett, and Cassie Buckner of Camano Island; seven great-grandchildren, Kylie, Devon and Abigail Sally Dietlin, Aydon and Landon Jarvis, and Asher and Brooklynn Buckner; brother, Raymond (Virginia) Pacheco of Chicago, IL; sisters, Virginia Berna of Chicago, IL and Sophie (Richard) Krzyminski of Chicago, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Catholic funeral mass will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Church located at 4200 88th Street NE, Marysville at a date to be determined after February 9th.
