Armer, Jay B.

passed away on February 8, 2010. Jay B. Armer, a des cendant 
of the early Arizona pioneer families of Armer, Gilbert, 
Chilson, and Birchett was taken home to be with the Lord on 
February 8, 2010. The son of John H, Armer and Mary Gilbert 
Armer, he was born April 22, 1939 in Phoenix. Jay was 
preceded in death by his parents. Sur vivors include his wife of 
48 years, Saundra Davies Armer, one son Jay Armer II (Kristie), 
two daughters Debbie Armer and Deedee Armer Holden 
(Scott). Also surviving are granddaughters Jessica Armer-Boitz 
Johnson (Todd), Alexandra Armer, Emily Armer and Lucy Armer. 
Three step grandchildren: Cooper Holden, Beckett Holden and 
Mackenzie Holden. Two great grandchildren Julianna Johnson 
and baby Johnson. Other survivors include brother John H. 
Armer II and sister MaryCay Armer. Also included among the 
survivors are his sister-in-law Stephanie Smeloff Davies, two 
nephews, two nieces, five grand nephews, four grandnieces, 
one great-grandniece, and one great-grandnephew. A memorial 
service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 10:00 
A.M. at Bethany Community Church in Tempe. In lieu of 
flowers, the family requests donations to the American Bible
