Beach, Vincent Collin author of Don't Throw Away Your Stick Till You Cross the River-The Journey of An Ordinary Man, crossed the river on Sunday, February 7, 2010 in his beloved home at the age of 85. Gracious and wise beyond compare, he endured seven years of Parkinson's Plus living full right up to the next leg of his journey. His family circle, including wife Anni Beach, sons Kris and Sanjay Beach, daughter Jenny DuFresne, former wife Miriam Cooderath, many grandchildren, and all his friends, will miss him always. He has left a legacy of patience, perseverance, humility, and wisdom for us all. A celebration and visitation will be held in the family home in Chandler on Thursday, February 11 throughout the day and evening. Burial, with full military honors, will take place at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona on Friday, February 12 at 9:30 AM. Hospice of the Valley has been the greatest, providing extra love and expertise, and Angels Cremation and Burial of Mesa is helping with final care. Remember him with joy and do something kind for yourself and others. For more on Vincent see www.vincentbeach.com. Published in The Arizona Republic from February 10 to February 11, 2010
