Pocock, Marjorie Arleen Pederson Marjorie (Marge) Pocock, 79 passed away on July 23, 2010 from complications due to Alzheimer's disease at Somerset Memory Care in Everett, WA. Marjorie was born on February 17, 1931 to Bennie and Anna Pederson in Pelican Rapids, MN and grew up in Ballard, WA where she met and married John Pocock. John and Marge moved to Sultan, WA in 1964. Marge worked at Sultan Elementary School as a teacher's aide and office assistant before taking over the job of secretary. She loved working at the School. Marge also loved dancing, traveling, bingo, blueberries, milkshakes, her Norwegian heritage and spending time with her grandchildren. Her prize-winning pies were legendary. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Somerset Memory Care for eight years of loving, compassionate care. They helped her maintain her dignity and grace with good humor, laughter, music and lots of hugs. Marge knew that she was loved. Thank you also to the Hospice Nurse, Jenny Brown, for the compassionate care during Marge's final days. What joy to know that she is free from the disease and dancing away amongst the stars. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lavern Pederson; sister, Pearl Casper; husband, John Pocock; son, Jeff Pocock; and grandson, Kemper Siadak. Marjorie is survived by brother, Arven (Joyce) Pederson; sister, Betty Shipman; son, Dirk Pocock (fiance, Kim); daughter, Carrie Siadak; grandchildren, Ashleigh Champeaux, Jamie and John Pocock and Griffin Siadak; great-granddaughter, Madison Champeaux; and numerous nieces and nephews. Marge will be cremated and laid to rest between her husband and son in a private family ceremony. A celebration of life is being planned for September.
