Dorothy Eileen Alwinger 

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2005, in St. 
Peter's Catholic Church in Portland for Dorothy Eileen Alwinger, who died 
July 3 at age 81. Dorothy Eileen Puffer was born April 20, 1924, in 
Ravenna, Ohio. She moved to Happy Valley in about 1965 and was cook for 
Happy Valley Elementary and Dale Ickes Junior High schools. In 1947, she 
married John F.; he died in 1997. 

Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Lawson, Joanne Wright and 
Patricia Porco; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
