Ray Beach 

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, in Wilhelm 
Funeral Home for Ray Beach, who died Nov. 26 of a stroke at age 84. Mr. 
Beach was born Nov. 24, 1916, in Otter Creek, Ind. He moved to Portland 
while serving in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II and was the 
co-owner of A-1 Silk Screen Products until the mid-1990s. In 1944, he 
married Arlene Foster. 

Survivors include his wife; son, Brad; daughters, Janice Schermer and 
Patricia Gillespie; and six grandchildren. 

Interment will be in Joseph. The family suggests remembrances to the 
Providence St. Vincent Medical Foundation for heart research.
