Annabelle E. Brooks 

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006,
in Bateman Carroll Funeral Home for Annabelle E.
Brooks, who died Dec. 2 at age 88. 

Annabelle E. Peake was born Dec. 4, 1917, in Mt. Solo,
Wash., and raised in Gresham. She graduated from
Gresham Union High School and was an agricultural
consultant for the Oregon State Extension Service. She
lived most of her life in Damascus before moving in
2003 to Newberg. She married Frederick Hoppe in 1945;
they divorced. In 1981, she married Arthur D.; he died
in the early 1990s. 

Survivors include her daughters, Betty Namie, Anita
Taylor, Carol Adams; son, David L. Hoppe; sisters,
Betty Tracey and Ellen Fuzzie; nine grandchildren; and
14 great-grandchildren.
