BABB, Lloyd (Age 96) Lloyd Emory Babb of Spokane, Washington passed away September 16, 2006. He was an innovative man who could build or repair anything. He spent a number of years as a roofer and placed the last silver ball in the top of the carousel before it was moved to Riverfront Park. He was a man of impeccable character and maintained the highest degree of integrity when he served as president of the Pressman's Union during his years as a printer. He helped the War effort in WW II by working at the naval supply depot and was asked not to enlist because being qualified to provide supplies was so important. He was known in later years for his unique ability to paint beautiful mountain scenes using colored "taping-mud" as a medium. He also designed miniature tree scenes by using sawdust on wire to create trees, bushes and flowers. He loved God and Country and passed this legacy on to his family. He was a beloved father who instilled his qualities in his daughter. He was fun loving, laughed a lot, and loved his family. He was an asset to Spokane and will be missed by many.
