Mary C. BIBEAU My beloved wife, Mary C. Bibeau, was born on February 6, 1922 in Wood River, Illinios. She was the daughter of Louis T. and Catherine M. Rebenack. Mary C graduated from the St. Joseph Nursing School/Hospital in Alton, Illinios in 1943 and served the duration of World War II as a Navy nurse at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital. She married Air Force Captain Carl William Kosanke in 1946 and four children, William ("Bill"), Thomas, Catherine and Gregory. In 1952 Mary C was widowed after Carl died in active duty. In 1952 at the young age of 30 Mary C raised her children, building a home on her own, while working full time as a nurse at McCoy Air Force Base in Orlando, Florida. Mary C met and fell in love with Robert Bibeau ("Bob") and were married at St. John Vianney in Orlando, Florida in November of 1962. In May of 1964 Mary C and Bob moved to Price, Utah and the family was blessed with a fifth child, Angela. The family then moved to Washington. Mary C loved her family most of all. In fact, that was her life. She spoke of her children and grandchildren at all occasions. Her beloved husband of 40+ years, Robert L. Bibeau, is blessed with the chore of filing the shoes of Mary C in writing love letters at special occasions to the five children and twelve grandchildren, who were the joy of Mary C's life. Besides Mary C's immediate family, she leaves her brother, Clifford Rebenack of Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Marvin and Theodore Rebenack. Mary C was a member of the Children's Hospital Orthopedic Guild for over 30 years, the Alter Society, Human Life, and the Shelter Bay Yacht Club. She was also a member of the Navy Nurse Corps Association. Arrangements are under the care of Kern Funeral Home, 1122 South Third Street, Mount Vernon, WA. 98273. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 19, 2003 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Conner, WA. Interment will be at the Holyrood Catholic Cemetery in Shoreline, WA. The Knights of Columbus honor guard at the church services and a military honor guard will be in attendance at the cemetery. Mary C's favorite music will be played in her honor, including, "Sunrise Sunset," "On Eagle's Wing's," "I Walk Alone," "How Great Thou Art," "Footprints in the Sand," and "Morning has Broken."
