Alfred J. BIANCHI 1921 - 2005 Alfred entered this life on December 19, 1921, and left to be with the Lord on May 29, 2005. The son of Italian immigrants Paulo and Alicia Bianchi who settled in the Our Lady of Mt. Virgin Parish of Seattle, Alfred was born and raised in the home in which he later died. Alfred attended Mt. Virgin grade school, Seattle Prep, Franklin, and Seattle U. His college was interrupted by WWII, when he joined the Coast Guard and served in Seattle and the South Pacific. Upon discharge, he completed his college and graduated from Gonzaga Law School. His legal career spanned over 50 years, starting as Assistant State Attorney General, then Deputy King County Prosecuting Attorney, and then a long and stellar career as a trial attorney with his own law firm (not to mention his Saturday morning stints as Vito's bartender). Always a proud and active member of the Italian community, Al founded and for many years was president of the Italian Benevolent Society. A lifelong active member of Mt. Virgin Parish, Al became that church's greatest fund raiser. While in law school, Al married Anabel Jensen and from that union were born Paula and George Bianchi. A very few have touched as many lives so memorably as did Al Bianchi. Al had a great life, had more fun than anyone is entitled, yet maintained the highest ethical standards of his practice and pride of his lineage. Al is survived by Anabel, Paula and her husband Jesús, George and his children Nicole, Beau, and Talia; his loyal friend and caretaker Joe Pine, and a legion of friends, each of whom will mourn Al's passing.
