Florence E. Crowley 

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2002, in Hillsview 
Community Church in Gresham for Florence E. Crowley, who died Dec. 23 at age 
88. 

Florence Peake was born May 4, 1914, in Jasper, Ark. She moved in 1936 to 
Hillsview and in 1966 to Gresham, where she owned a day care business. She 
was a member of the church and its Sunday school superintendent. In 1934, she 
married Andy Jones; he died in 1957. She married Victor Crowley in 1957; he 
died in 1996. 

Survivors include her sons, George "Bob" Jones, Donald W. Jones, Larry E. 
Jones, Lloyd C. Jones; stepsons, Dan and Fred; daughters, Carole S. Whitney 
and Juanita A. Jones; brother, George Peake; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-
grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Her stepdaughter Sherrill 
LaFollette died in March.
