Janet Paar Greene 

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2001, in Memorial 
Gardens Funeral Home in Vancouver, Wash., for Janet Paar Greene, who 
died July 5 at age 73. Mrs. Greene was born Janet Paar on Jan. 12, 1928, 
in Jackson, Mo. She graduated from Southeast Missouri University and 
taught art and English in Missouri, Illinois, New York and Connecticut 
before retiring in the early 1970s. In 1975, she moved to Portland, where 
she was a volunteer for the Rehabilitation Institute of Oregon Guild of 
Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital for 18 years and for the Oregon 
Symphony Auxiliary. In 1964, she married Doug Greene. 

Survivors include her husband; son, Charley; and sister, Peggy Heinsius.
