Bertha Mahnkey-Peacher 

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, in
Portland Memorial Funeral Home for Bertha
Mahnkey-Peacher, who died Oct. 26 at age 99. 

Bertha Klein was born April 2, 1907, in Bismarck, N.D.
She was a homemaker who moved to Salem in 1947 and to
Portland in the 1960s. In 1930, she married James
Mahnkey; they divorced. In the 1960s, she married Andy
Peacher; they also divorced. 

Survivors include her sons, Gary Mahnkey and Spencer
Mahnkey; sisters, Hilda Mraz, and Lena Bitterman;
brother, Ted Klein; five grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
