Gladys Nelson 

A visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to noon Friday, 
April 28-29, 2005, in Attrell's Newberg Funeral Chapel for Gladys Nelson, who died April 
25 at age 94. Gladys Bench was born Oct. 5, 1910, in Eldridge, Mo. She was a 
salesclerk for J.J. Newberry and a homemaker. She lived in Newberg and then Garden 
Home before returning in 1985 to Newberg. In 1931, she married Carl; he died in 1990. 
Survivors include her son, Elmer; brother, Marion Bench; two grandchildren; and four 
great-grandchildren.
