James L. Puffer James L. Puffer, of Lake Stevens, died December 30, 2000 in Snohomish. He was born December 6, 1912 in Chattanooga, Tennessee and had been a resident of Marietta, Georgia since 1959, moving to Lake Stevens in March 2000. James was a machinist with Lockheed, retiring in 1969, and was a charter member of St. Philip United Methodist Church in Marietta. He is survived by his son, Franklin W. Puffer, Sr. and his wife Janet of Lake Stevens; grandsons, Franklin Puffer, Jr. and wife Lynn, and their children, James, Robert, Sam, John, and Rebekah, and Joe A. Puffer of Marysville; sister, Ethel Bice of Chattanooga, Tenn; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Martha Evelyn in 1994. Visitation at Bauer Funeral Chapel, Snohomish will be 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.
