Elsie Pugh Elsie Pugh, 79, of Everett, ended her earthly journey on June 3, 2001. Elsie Marie Hunter was born September 12, 1921 in Akron, OH. She moved to Everett in 1997 and made many new and dear friends. Elsie had a career as a registered nurse in Cleveland and San Diego. She graduated from Ohio Northern University and received a bachelor degree in nursing at Saint Luke's Hospital in Cleveland in 1942. Elsie married Robert (Bob) Holmes Pugh in 1941. The Pughs relocated to San Diego in 1957. After Bob's aerospace career at Northrop, they enjoyed retirement in the Chico, CA area where they attended Bidwell Memorial Presbyterian Church. Elsie much enjoyed living at Washington Oakes in Everett. She was loved and admired by her family and many friends, especially for her courage, faith and kindness. Elsie was preceded in death by Robert in 1993. She is survived by her sister Lucille Roth and Lucille's husband Robert of New Bern, NC; brother Donald Hunter of Petersburg, MI; daughter Leslie Foster and her husband Tom of Everett; grandson Mark Foster and his wife Kelli of Seattle; and grandson Steve Foster of Seattle. A memorial service is scheduled at Washington Oakes on Wednesday June 13th at 7:00pm.
