Albert LeBaron Puddicombe Albert LeBaron Puddicombe, 99, died March 20, 1995. Albert was born in Tacoma March 11, 1896. He graduated from Stadium High School in 1914 and studied Civil Engineering at the University of Washington for 2 years. He enlisted in the U.S. Army during WWI and served in France in the 304th Field Artillery, 77th Division. He fought in the Vosges and Argonne battles and paraded down New York's 5th Avenue after the war. Albert was a Past Master of Joseph Warren Lodge, No. 235, where he held membership in the Masonic Order for 75 years. He was a Senior Warden and Vestryman at Christ Episcopal Church and a Founder of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Narrowmoor. He had also been a member of the Kiwanis Club. He was employed by the Northern Pacific Railroad and then served as Purchasing Agent for the Tacoma Transit Co. (now Pierce Transit) and its predecessors for over 40 years. He was an ardent fisherman and hiker and maintained fruit, vegetable and flower gardens most of his life. Albert had been a resident of Franke Tobey Jones Retirement Home for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys in 1984 after 64 years of marriage. Their 3 children are Robert of Santa Barbara, CA and Raymond and Mrs. Elaine Tobin of Seattle. He has 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Memorial services, Sat., 2:30 p.m. in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 7410 S. 12th.
