Harriett R. Piazza 

Harriett R. Piazza died Nov. 7, 2000, of pneumonia, stroke and diabetes at 
age 62. A private service was held. Mrs. Piazza was born April 24, 1938, 
in Seattle and moved to Portland in 1941. Her maiden name was Randall. 
She graduated from Cleveland High School and the University of 
Washington, then taught English in Seattle and was a legal secretary in 
Hawaii and San Jose, Calif., returning to Portland in 1983. She was a 
secretary for the Real Estate Association for about 10 years before retiring 
in 1998, and she was a member of Moreland Presbyterian Church. 

Survivors include her son, Vernon Welch; daughter, Elisa Welch; and four 
grandchildren. 

Private interment was in Portland Memorial Mausoleum. The family 
suggests remembrances to the American Diabetes Association. 
Arrangements were by Portland Memorial Funeral Home.
