Eleanor Therese Pichler Eleanor Therese Pichler, 77, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2002 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born at the home where she was raised in the town of Cathcart (Snohomish, WA) on January 29, 1925. In 1941, this shy farm girl was swept off her feet and married a tall, dark, handsome truck driving man and between the two of them, had a great life with their six children. As the wife of a truck driver, she made many friends. She always had coffee and snacks ready for anyone who might stop by to chat. She was a wonderful soul. Always there when you needed her. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for you. Whatever it took to make you comfortable. Stay as long as you needed. For such a small woman, she had big arms to hold you and make everything all right. Everyone who ever met her loved her. She will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by five of her six children, Charon (John) Olson, John (Fritzie) Pichler, Robert Pichler, Debbie (Stephen) Hill and Gary Pichler; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her daughter, Eleanor (Elly) Magnant; her sister, Alice Townsend; her mother, Lydia and father Olaf Stangeland; and John, her husband of almost 52 years. The family wishes to express a special thanks to those who took the time to make her feel special as she so richly deserved. Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2002, 1:00-5:00pm at Bauer Funeral Chapel, Snohomish. Graveside Services will be Saturday, November 2nd, 10:30am at G.A.R. Cemetery, Snohomish.
