Betsy Marie Peabody

Betsy Peabody, born Dec., 26, 1922, and a 70-year
resident of Gig Harbor, passed away Nov. 24, 2006.
Although vision impaired, she was known around town
for her frequent visits in the company of her seeing
eye dogs. She was a member of Gig Harbor Eagles
Auxiliary, a very friendly and people-oriented person
to whom nobody was a stranger. She is survived by son
Raymond Peabody of Port Orchard, brother Trygve Alsvik
of Gig Harbor, and a very large extended family. A
memorial service will be held at Haven of Rest Funeral
Home on Sat., Dec. 2, 2006, at 11am, with a reception
to follow. Remembrances may be made to Franciscan
Foundation or Franciscan Hospice, PO Box 1502, Tacoma,
WA 98401-9836.
