PACHECO, Gabriel Christopher Gabriel Christopher Pacheco, went home to be with God on February 13, 2007. Born on July 6, 1938 to Susie and Ross Pacheco in Saquache, Colorado. Gabe received his nursing degree in Denver, CO at Mercy School of Nursing. He entered the USAF in 1961 as a Second Liutenant, received his degree as a Nurse Anesthetist in San Antonio, TX in 1967. After being stationed in various locations around the world he retired as a Lt/Colonel from the Air Force at Fairchild AFB in 1981 after 20 years of service and settled in Cheney, WA. Gabriel worked for many years as a Nurse Anesthetist for the Inland Eye Center, Spokane Foot Clinic, several local dentists, and relief work in hospitals around the region. Gabe loved to hunt, fish and spending time outdoors. He was active with the Knights of Columbus of Cheney, also was an instructor at the Barton School of Spokane. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kay Ann (Byron) Pacheco and six children: Christine Hoffman and three children, West Pawlet, VT; Colleen Pacheco and husband Michael Brandstetter and one child, Seattle, WA; Patricia Courtney and husband Mike and two children, Kimberly, ID; Pamela Pacheco and companion Todd Wright and four children, Spokane; Keith Pacheco and wife Kimberly and three children, Spokane; Michael Pacheco of LA, CA; and grandson Kevin Molduene, Cheney. Gabe is also survived by his brother Speazie Pacheco of Denver, CO. In lieu of flowers, family request donations be sent to St. Judes Children's Hospital. Memorial service will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cheney at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 16th, 2007 with reception following. Feb 15, 2007 Spokesman-Review
