PIAZZA, Anne Madeline 1921-2008 A funeral Mass will be at held for Anne Madeline Piazza at 12 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church. A reception will immediately follow at Chelsea Ballroom. She passed away peacefully in her sleep Sept. 23 from complications of old age at 87. Anne Madeline Graziano was born March 2, 1921, to Augustino and Madelaine Graziano, in Portland. She was a beautician before marriage. She was a homemaker until her children were grown and out of the house. She got a job at Fabric Wholesalers and then Fred Meyer, in the fabric department. She was an avid seamstress and gardener in her younger days and loved to play bingo. She also loved to travel, and toured Europe, going to Italy several times to visit family in Sicily. She married Salvatore "Sammy" Phillip Piazza in 1945; he died in 1999. After Sammy passed away, she moved to Seaside, where she enjoyed the milder climate and bingo three nights a week! Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Piazza; son, Peter Piazza; daughter-in-law, Leila Piazza; grandchildren, Jonah McCabe, Ben McCabe, Joey Piazza and Maddy Piazza; two great-grandchildren; sister, Sister Margaret Graziano; and brother, Augustino "Joe" Graziano.
