La Verta 'Pegge' Quiett 

A gathering will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12,
2006, in the Heritage House in Lake Oswego for La
Verta "Pegge" Quiett, who died Sept. 25 at age 86. 

La Verta Puckett was born March 19, 1920, in Cove, and
was raised in La Grande. She moved in about 1940 to
Portland, where she was an executive secretary for the
Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco for 20 years. In
1942, she married Edward W. Bellis; he died in 1971.
She married Robert W. Quiett in 1974. 

Survivors include her husband; daughter, Hester R.
Loomis; son, Jeffrey W. Bellis; stepdaughters, Carolyn
T. Parker and Judy A. Washbond; stepson, Robert W.
Jr.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
