Mary Elizabeth Stow 

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, in 
Riverview Abbey Funeral Home for Mary Elizabeth Stow, who died Aug. 30 
at age 89. 

Mary Elizabeth Peake was born June 5, 1913, in Spokane and moved to 
Portland in 1929. She graduated from Grant High School, and was a 
homemaker and a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She was a 
charter member of Vermont Hills Methodist Church. In 1947, she married 
Albert T.; he died in 1973. 

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Dee; son, James; brother, James O. 
Peake; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
