Clara M.A. Smith

Clara M.A. Smith died March 6, 2004, at age 95. Clara
M.A. Baart was born Feb. 27, 1909, in Weesp,
Netherlands. She immigrated to Kalamazoo, Mich., as an
infant and moved to Portland in 1926. She was a
homemaker. In 1931, she married Alex W.G.; he died in
1978. 

Survivors include her daughters, Gerry Thompson,
Sandra Dolyniuk and Jane Oldham; sisters, Marie
Mattson and Jane DeHaven; 10 grandchildren; and 24
great-grandchildren.
