Virginia Christina Pace TERRY 85, died August 2, 2003 in Laguna Hills, CA. Born March 12, 1918 in Tacoma, WA., she graduated from Lincoln High School in 1939, then attended Knapp Business School, both in Tacoma. She was a member of Alpha Iota Business Sorority. Beginning in 1940 Virginia worked as a civilian in the Army Corps of Engineers at Ft. Lewis, WA. where she met and, after the war, married Charles T. Terry. In 1950 they moved to Alhambra, CA. and in 1953 moved to Orange, and then to Santa Ana, CA. where she lived until shortly after her husbands death in 1994. She then moved to The Wellington in Laguna Hills, CA. in addition to her role as wife and mother, she was active in several social organizations. In 1950 she joined the Eastern Star where she became Worthy Matron for Scepter Chapter 163 in Orange, CA. and Deputy Grand Matron for the State of California. She was also active with Rainbow Girls and received "Grand Cross of Colors" as well as Ebell and Daughters of the Nile. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles T. Terry, her parents John Burgess Pace and Signa Agusta Anderson, and her sister Myrna B. Pace. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law John and Karen Terry of Redlands, CA., her brother Willard Pace and sister-in-law Dorothy Pace of Tacoma, WA., niece Jill Pace and her companion Pat Lebbert of Tacoma, WA. and nephew Jack Pace, his wife Jean, and their daughter, Virginia's Grand Niece, Lauren Pace of Seattle, WA. Memorial Services wll be held at The Wellington, 24903 Moulton Parkway, Laguna Woods, CA. on Friday, August 8th at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to The Shriners' Hospital for Crippled Children (Los Angeles unit) or The Santa Ana Boys Club Endowment Fund.
