Carole Gene West Carole Gene West, 70, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 6, 2008, surrounded by her loving family, in Missoula, Montana. Carole was born December 27, 1937, in Portland, Oregon. After raising her own children she became a super nanny for several families in Washington State. She later established and operated a successful painting business, Westco Painting, with her husband Bob. In 2002, they relocated to Missoula from Everett, WA. Carole was an avid bowler, golfer and shopper. Her passions included reading and gardening. Carole will be remembered for her gift of unconditional love for her family and friends. She made many friends wherever she went. Her family was the most important part of her life and continuely put others before herself. Carole is survived by Bob, her husband of 27 years; her children, Paul (Kelly) Darrow, of Leavenworth, Washington, John (Dona) Darrow, of Missoula, Kim (Rod) Chalker, of Lynnwood, Washington, Greg Darrow, of Missoula, and Michael (Cheryl) Darrow, of Everett, Washington; her three grandchildren, Michael Scher, of Missoula, Cassandra Chalker and Shelby Chalker, of Lynnwood, Washington; her sister, Sharon (Lynn) Hatch, of Portland, Oregon; her brother, Richard Peake; and half-brother, Bob Peake, of Portland, Oregon; and many nieces and nephews. Carole will be laid to rest on April 19, 2008, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Missoula, MT. Carole was loved very much by everyone who knew her and she will be missed immensely.
