Zella Ziemer 

A funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, in Sandy Funeral Home for 
Zella Ziemer, who died Feb. 8 at age 94. 

Zella Puckett was born Aug. 15, 1908, in Dixon County, Neb. She graduated from 
Wayne State Normal School, moved in 1937 to Sandy, and was an elementary 
school teacher in Dover, Eagle Creek and Welches. She was a member of Sandy 
Baptist Church and sang in its choir. In 1937, she married Freddie E.; he died in 
1985. 

Survivors include her sons, Richard, Rodney, Robert and David; sister, Zeta 
Swanson; brother, James Puckett; 21 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
